Category Strategy Development & Execution
a. Lead the development and execution of a category strategy by working with business stakeholders and global / regional procurement colleagues.
b. To gain a deep understanding of the business requirements, value chain, total costs, risks and opportunities in order to be able to challenge and deliver value improvements.
c. Bring knowledge of suppliers and supply market expertise to the business, including identification and development of innovations.
d. Plan and execute the procurement activity using B. Braun’s ‘Source to Contract’ process leading competitive tenders and / or negotiations for formal as well as ad hoc activities as required.
Supplier Management
a. Take responsibility for supplier management, implementing supplier business reviews and other means of driving supplier performance in sustainable, systematic ways.
b. Work with business stakeholders for the development and deployment of appropriate supplier performance targets and KPIs.
c. Ensure suppliers have the capacity, financial stability, quality & technical capabilities to meet business requirements and put in place supplier development / risk mitigation plans as appropriate.
Operations, Reporting & Governance
a. Operationally responsible for managing the Purchase Requisition process and approvals for the category in line with company policies and requirements.
b. Accountable for cost savings and value creation in line with annual targets.
c. Whilst functionally reporting through the procurement organization, the Category Manager must work in close collaboration with business stakeholders.
d. Promote and ensure compliance to integrity and B. Braun’s code of conduct.
Projects & Assignments
a. Challenge sourcing activities, processes and existing practices to identify and implement value engineering and / or operational excellence, process improvement as well as new sourcing opportunities.
b. Take initiative and be willing to lead or support improvement projects in the function and bu.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience as Strategic Buyer specifically in CAPEX and Production related categories.
Strong negotiation and procurement capabilities with a proven track record of delivering results.
Good communication skills with the ability to manage and align stakeholder expectations effectively. Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate data and provide actionable recommendations or solution.
Good in Supplier management, including performance evaluation and relationship building.
Good in Contract Management within stakeholder & suppliers.
Good exposure in driving / leading Sustainability activities at own category.
