Bookkeeping Executive (SG) - 6 Months Contract

What you'll do :

⭐ Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for assigned clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.

⭐ Ensure accurate and timely entry of financial transactions into bookkeeping software and systems by collecting the required accounting supporting documents from clients.

⭐ Reconcile bank statements and any other financial records to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial data.

⭐ Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, which includes reviewing the categorisation and reconciliation of both purchase invoices and sales invoices.

⭐ Ensure the accuracy and quality of financial reports, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets, by performing quality checks on the bookkeeping data.

⭐ Collaborate with team members and the Bookkeeping Quality Assurance Team Lead to resolve discrepancies, identify areas for process improvement, and ensure compliance with accounting principles and client-specific requirements.

⭐ Communicate and coordinate with clients to gather financial information, address inquiries, and provide support as needed.

⭐ Stay updated on industry best practices, accounting regulations, and software updates relevant to bookkeeping tasks.

Who you are :

⭐ A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Relevant experience and certifications (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) will be considered.

⭐ Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, practices, and relevant software exposure.

⭐ Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data review, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

⭐ Proficiency in using bookkeeping software and tools, along with the ability to adapt to new technologies and software platforms as we develop our own accounting software.

⭐ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients.

⭐ Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, following instructions and seeking guidance when needed.

⭐ Strong knowledge of accounting standards, regulations, and compliance requirements, which includes but not limited to accurate journal entries.

⭐ Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.

⭐ Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse financial data and identify solutions.
