Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager of FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) and Treasury to join our dynamic team based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. This role will be instrumental in managing both the financial planning and treasury functions, ensuring robust financial oversight, and contributing to strategic decision‑making within the organization.
The ideal candidate will have experience in financial planning, analysis, forecasting, treasury management, cash flow optimization, and strategic financial decision‑making within the energy management or a similar industry.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead the development and management of the company’s annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasts, and long‑term financial planning.
- Conduct in‑depth financial analysis and provide insightful recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision‑making and business growth.
- Prepare monthly / quarterly / annual financial reports, including variance analysis, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Monitor financial performance against KPIs and analyze key financial trends to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Work closely with business units to ensure alignment between financial performance and strategic objectives.
2. Treasury Management
Oversee the management of the company’s liquidity, including the optimization of cash flow, short‑term and long‑term financing, and working capital management.Develop and execute strategies to minimize financial risks and ensure sufficient liquidity for operational and strategic needs.Monitor and manage banking relationships, including negotiating terms and rates for loans, credit facilities, and other financial instruments.Review and optimize cash management processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy in cash flow forecasting.Evaluate and manage financial risk exposures related to foreign exchange, interest rates, and commodity markets (as relevant).3. Strategic Finance Advisory
Provide strategic financial guidance and support to senior leadership, assisting in critical business decisions and investment strategies.Develop and maintain financial models and scenario analysis to evaluate investment opportunities, business expansions, and other strategic initiatives.Participate in cross‑functional projects, providing financial insights and supporting financial due diligence during mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.4. Process Improvement & Reporting
Lead process improvements in financial planning, reporting, and treasury operations, driving greater efficiency and transparency.Ensure accurate, timely, and efficient financial reporting, in line with both internal policies and external regulatory requirements.Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.5. Team Management & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of financial professionals, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and fostering a culture of high performance.Foster a collaborative work environment to ensure effective communication and cross‑departmental synergy.Key Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional qualifications such as CFA, CPA, or CMA is a plus).A minimum of 5‑7 years of relevant experience in financial planning, analysis, and treasury management, preferably within the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.Proven track record of managing both FP&A and treasury functions in a complex, multinational environment.Strong understanding of financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and financial performance metrics.Deep knowledge of treasury operations, including cash flow management, liquidity optimization, financial risk management, and capital structure management.Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365) and advanced Excel skills; experience with treasury management software is a plus.Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.Manage multiple parties including banks, consultants, lawyers as well as internal stakeholders.Skills and Competencies :
