We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Finance Specialist to oversee and manage the accounting and finance operations for both our Singapore and Malaysia entities.
What You’ll Do ⚡
- Manage the full sets of accounts for both Singapore and Malaysia entities.
- Perform accurate month‑end and year‑end closing, including journal entries for accruals, prepayments, and provisions.
- Prepare and post sales invoices, credit notes, and vendor invoices for both countries.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledgers, bank accounts, and intercompany balances across Singapore and Malaysia.
- Prepare financial schedules, management reports, and cash flow forecasts to support business decision‑making.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure proper accounting for additions, disposals, and depreciation.
Accounts Payable / Receivable Management
Review and verify vendor invoices and supporting documentation prior to payment.Process payments to vendors and employees in both Singapore and Malaysia entities in accordance with company policies.Prepare and issue Statements of Accounts (SOA) to customers, and monitor collections to ensure timely payments.Reconcile accounts payable and receivable ledgers to ensure accuracy and completeness.Taxation, Audit & Compliance
Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns for Singapore and relevant tax filings for Malaysia .Assist in the preparation of annual audit and tax computations for both entities, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.Liaise with internal and external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and company secretarial departments in Singapore and Malaysia.Operational & Administrative Support
Record and process monthly operating expenses such as utilities, rental, and administrative costs for both entities.Support continuous improvement in accounting workflows and internal control processes.Participate in ad‑hoc finance projects, system enhancements, and cross‑border coordination initiatives as assigned.What We’re Looking For
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance , or a related discipline.Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance.Solid understanding of Singapore and Malaysia accounting standards, GST, and local tax regulations .Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics NAV or other ERP systems is an advantage.Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.Able to manage multi‑entity accounting tasks independently and meet reporting deadlines.Willing to travel to Singapore quarterly or as required by business needs.Seniority level
