Are you a strategic finance leader ready to steer the financial helm of a global industrial powerhouse? This role would fit a CFO type

We are representing a globally recognized leader in the manufacturing industry in their confidential search for a Regional Financial Controller . This is a newly created, high-impact role based in the vibrant hub of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Our client is a household name in their sector, with a legacy of innovation and a significant global footprint. This role is pivotal to their continued growth and success across the APAC region.

  • Strategic Influence : You will be the key financial strategist for the region, partnering with senior leadership to drive profitability, market expansion, and operational excellence.
  • Regional Scope & Impact : Go beyond a single country. Your decisions will shape the financial future across multiple markets in the region.
  • High-Visibility Leadership : This is not just a number-crunching role. You will lead, mentor, and develop a talented finance team and act as a trusted advisor to the Regional VP and leadership team.
  • Drive Transformation : Play a central role in integrating new systems, enhancing reporting processes, and implementing best-in-class financial controls across the region.

Your Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide comprehensive financial leadership and oversight for the APAC region.
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning processes.
  • Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with local statutory requirements.
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful management reporting and analysis to global HQ.
  • Partner with commercial and operational teams to evaluate business cases, pricing strategies, and CAPEX investments.
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing regional finance team.
  • Oversee tax, treasury, and audit activities for the region.

    • The Ideal Candidate (You) Possesses :

  • A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA, CIMA).
  • 12+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a Controllership or Financial Control leadership role within a multinational corporation .
  • Proven experience in a complex, manufacturing, engineering, or capital‑intensive industrial environment.
  • A track record of success in a regional (APAC) scope is highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
