Description and Requirements

Position Description : This role supports Lenovo’s global eCommerce platform, a high-traffic system driving B2B and B2C sales across 100+ countries and generating billions in annual revenue. As part of the platform’s strategic evolution, the DBA will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of its database infrastructure. This includes optimizing database architectures, integrating cloud-native solutions, and supporting the platform’s growth through robust data management strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, maintain, and optimize critical databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, ClickHouse) to support high-concurrency and large-scale data processing.
• Implement and manage database backup, recovery, and high-availability strategies to ensure business continuity.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize SQL queries, index design, and storage engine configurations for performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot complex database issues, including latency, downtime, and scalability challenges under high traffic.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting tools (Bash, Python, Perl) and contribute to CI / CD pipelines for database deployment.
• Document architectures, processes, and best practices for knowledge sharing and team alignment.
