Job descriptionBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 3 – 5 years of relevant accounting experience. Candidate with audit experience and obtained professional qualification such as ACCA / CPA / MIA is highly desirable. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and present complex financial data. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g. MFRS, IFRS) and tax regulations.
- Supervise the team, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts, monitoring performance against budget and providing variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including the preparation and submission of SST, corporate income tax, and withholding tax filings.
- Review and strengthen the internal controls and accounting policies.
- Support finance system enhancements and process improvements.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary and other regulatory authorities.
- Assist and handle any ad-hoc assignments when assigned by superior.
- Stay up to date with the changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations.
