About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Operations Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in AWS, Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins, and container technologies (ECS / EKS, Docker, Kubernetes) to automate operations, ensure reliability, and support enterprise-scale systems.

This position requires strong hands-on experience in managing AWS environments, building infrastructure as code from scratch, and deploying applications in containerized environments. Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Automate manual operational tasks to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Support and manage CI / CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins and Git.
  • Deploy, monitor, and optimize Docker containers in AWS ECS and EKS.
  • Proactively monitor production systems using tools like Grafana, DataDog, CloudWatch, Splunk, or Dynatrace.
  • Troubleshoot incidents and support Tier 3 production issues in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
  • Collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams to resolve recurring system problems.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and performance best practices across cloud environments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on DevOps / Cloud Operations experience.
  • Strong expertise in AWS infrastructure design and operations.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (ECS, EKS strongly preferred).
  • Solid knowledge of CI / CD automation (Jenkins, Git, or similar).
  • Strong scripting / programming skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar).
  • Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools (Grafana, DataDog, Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.).
  • Understanding of networking, security, scalability, and performance KPIs in cloud environments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with multi-cloud (Azure, GCP) environments.
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible or Chef.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident management tools (ServiceNow, Jira).
