Job descriptionDevelop, implement, and maintain quality control systems specific to sheet metal fabrication. Conduct sample inspections of mechanical parts and products, including dimensions, appearance, materials, and processes, to ensure compliance with relevant standards and specification. Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and final products to ensure compliance with specifications. Collaborate with design and production teams to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). internal and external audits (ISO 9001 and others relevant standard if applicable). Develop and maintain inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality documentation (PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans) Record and report inspection results, promptly identifying and reporting any quality issues, and providing improvement suggestions. Monitor and report quality performance using KPIs (scrap rate, rework, customer complaints). Support new product introductions by establishing quality requirements and conducting first article inspections (FAI). Work with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and parts. Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM). Collaborate with production teams and suppliers to address quality issues and ensure product quality and production efficiency.
