Job descriptionLead and oversee all electrical engineering activities during the pre‑contract stage. Review and validate design deliverables such as load calculations, schematics, and compliance documentation. Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and MEP consultants to ensure cohesive system integration. Supervise and mentor a small team comprising one Electrical Engineer and one Quantity Surveyor. Delegate tasks, monitor project progress, and ensure deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations. Foster collaboration, accountability, and professional growth within the team. Work closely with the Quantity Surveyor to develop detailed cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQ). Provide technical input for tender documentation, contractor evaluation, and proposal assessments. Review vendor submissions and ensure technical compliance with project specifications. Engage directly with clients to understand project objectives and provide engineering‑driven solutions. Represent the consultancy in meetings with developers, contractors, and authorities. Ensure that all electrical designs adhere to statutory codes, local regulations, and international standards. Identify design‑related risks and propose effective mitigation strategies. Guarantee compliance with safety standards, energy efficiency requirements, and sustainable design principles. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred). 8–10 years of experience in electrical engineering within the construction or consultancy sector. Proven expertise in pre‑contract design management, cost planning, and tender documentation. Strong leadership and team coordination skills with experience supervising small technical teams. Proficiency in AutoCAD , Revit , and electrical design software. Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management abilities. Familiarity with local building codes, authority submission procedures, and international standards (IEC, IEEE, BS). Ability to perform under pressure and deliver results within tight deadlines.

Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail‑oriented Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical scope of pre‑contract construction projects within a dynamic project management consultancy environment. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, cost planning expertise, and strategic oversight to ensure the successful delivery of high‑value projects. You will manage a small team consisting of one Electrical Engineer and one Quantity Surveyor, ensuring excellence in design coordination, tender documentation, and client engagement throughout the pre‑contract phase.
Salary Range : RM9,000 – RM13,000
