Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Farm Supervisor to oversee daily operations of our durian farm in Raub. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality cultivation, harvesting, and post-harvest handling of durians, while effectively managing farm workers, resources, and schedules. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about agriculture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage all aspects of farm production to ensure high-quality durian cultivation, including planting, pruning, harvesting, and post-harvest processing.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative team environment through open communication and ongoing feedback.
  • Develop and implement clear work schedules, set team goals, and delegate tasks with specified deadlines to ensure efficient farm operations.
  • Oversee day-to-day farm activities, ensuring optimal use of resources, including worker, equipment, and supplies.
  • Conduct daily inspections to monitor farm conditions and operations, maintaining accurate records of findings and activities.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards across all farming activities, including equipment handling, durian tree health, pest control, and harvesting practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in farm / plantation supervision, preferably in fruit or durian cultivation.
  • Strong knowledge of agricultural practices, including planting, pruning, pest control, harvesting, and post-harvest handling.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team of farm workers with clear direction, motivation, and discipline.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially in handling daily farm operational challenges.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in outdoor farm environments.
  • Willing to be based in Raub and travel to Karak when required.
  • Strong record-keeping and reporting skills.
  • Basic understanding of farm equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Preferably able to converse in Malay and Chinese for communication with local workers and orchard owners.
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel if required.
