Job description

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the accounting field is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MYOB accounting software.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and time management.
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently under pressure.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities :

Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Responsible for day-to-day accounting functions, including accurate data entry and maintenance of financial records in the accounting system.
  • Manage a full set of accounts including GL, AR, AP, and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for management review.
  • Ensure timely month-end closing and support year-end audit activities.
  • Invoicing & Collections

  • Issue client invoices on time and follow up on payments.
  • Maintain proper filing of invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation.
  • Track aging reports and assist in resolving billing discrepancies.
  • Compliance & Taxation

  • Ensure adherence to statutory requirements including SST, tax filings, and other financial regulations.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries on regulatory matters.
  • Quotations & Costing

  • Prepare quotations and cost proposals for clients based on job scope and operational needs.
  • Liaise with the Operations team to confirm manpower deployment schedules and job requirements.
  • Prepare detailed job cost breakdowns, ensuring accuracy and profitability analysis.
  • Update pricing and costing templates regularly in line with operational updates.
  • Administration & Coordination

  • Provide administrative support for accounting and commercial activities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure proper documentation, approvals, and process flow.
  • Assist in any ad-hoc duties assigned by the Accounts Manager or management.
