Job descriptionBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field Minimum 2 years working experiences in insurances, GL, medical claims, related work Previous experience in international patient services, insurance handling, or healthcare administration is highly desirable Familiarity with healthcare insurance claims, policies, and procedures for international patients Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Familiarity with international health insurance practices, guarantee letters, and reimbursement processes Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and ensuring inclusivity
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with international patients and their home country insurance companies to ensure timely receipt, review, and verification of Guarantee Letters (GL) in accordance with hospital policies and international standards.
- Collaborate with insurance providers to resolve discrepancies, incomplete information, or mismatched bill sizes in the Financial Guarantee Letters (FGL).
- Maintain up-to-date records of all GLs in the hospital’s system and track their status for timely processing and approvals.
- Liaise with stakeholders including insurers, doctors, and third-party payers (TPPs) to address GL-related issues, ensure appropriate financial agreements, and follow up on missing or delayed information.
- Act as the primary liaison for insurance companies, TPPs, and corporate clients regarding GL approvals, hospital charges, and doctors’ fees.
- Provide secondary support for discharge and billing issues when frontline responses are insufficient, including registration, cashiering, GL verification, and coordination with stakeholders.
- Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and debts, using Insurance Ageing Reports to prioritize actions.
