Job description

Job Responsibilities :

  • To manage and innovate the key food categories such as in-store desserts, in-store food, Ready-to-eat, Bakes in mynews retail and CU mart.
  • To lead a team of food innovators and plan out the key strategies for the appointed categories for a successful growth.
  • Drive product insights, roadmap, marketing and P&L of the product category.
  • Responsible to refine product recipes and formulations.
  • Build and keep track of competitors products in a database.
  • Manage the entire process from market research, creating thematics, menu innovation, overseeing photo shooting, sourcing, costing, pricing, focus groups, SOP, final management tastings.
  • Oversee all of the SOPs created by team and ensure proper execution.
  • To ensure cost and operational efficiency by maximizing usage of each raw materials.
  • To lead, manage and motivate respective Fresh Food Executives or Assistants.

Job Requirements :

  • Min 3 year(s) of working experience in retail / CVS / FMCG / food service industry.
  • Knowledgeable in Food Science & Technology / Halal / Food Safety.
  • Attention to details and organized.
  • Possess relevant experience leading Product development / innovation.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English.
  • Highly analytical mind, communication (written & verbal) and presentation skills to support business-decision making and help drive business efficiency.
  • Proficient in MS Office e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Good to have :

  • Result oriented, able to work at a fast pace, multi-task and tight deadlines environment.
  • Spoken Language :   Malay, English
