Sr. Account Executive - Cyber Security at OpenText .
OpenText is a global leader in information management, with a culture centered on innovation, collaboration, and delivering digital transformation. The role focuses on leading a sales pursuit in the cyber security domain, building pipeline, and managing opportunities with both new and existing accounts. This position is based in Malaysia and currently does not sponsor work authorization in Malaysia.
Your Impact
We are seeking a talented Account Executive to join our sales team, with a proven track record of building a territory from a base of accounts. You will drive proactive campaigns to build pipeline, prospect, qualify, negotiate, and close opportunities within focus areas, engaging with clients at the C-level for mid-to-large accounts where appropriate.
What The Role Offers
- Responsible for creating and driving the sales pipeline.
- Maintain knowledge of competitors in the account to strategically position OpenText products and services.
- Utilize specialty expertise to seek out new opportunities in the cyber security market and expand and enhance existing opportunities to build the pipeline and drive pursuit.
- Establish a professional, consultative relationship with the client, up to the C-level, by developing a core understanding of the client business needs within their industry.
- Collaborate with external partners and the channel team to deliver sales results.
What You Need To Succeed
Education and Experience Required
University or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.Cyber Security certification is a plus.Demonstrated achievement in a similar sales environment with diverse business customers and strong customer interfaces.Experience selling Application Security, Security Operations, Threat Intelligence, Identity Access Management, and Data Privacy solutions is a plus.Track record of successful product sales in the cyber security solution market.Experience in key accounts is a plus.Your Capabilities And Skills
Understand the industry and market segments of key accounts and apply this knowledge to consultative selling.Understand the role of Cyber Security within your area and how OpenText solutions differentiate in the market.Account planning and accurate revenue forecasting.Collaborate with management, channel and sales teams in shared accounts to ensure integration of specialist sales with other activities.Cultivate and maintain positive customer relationships to ensure account retention and growth.Develop a comprehensive knowledge of products and services, including competitors’ offerings.Leverage services offerings as part of strategic product sales.Other Information
