Job Purpose
- The Asset Relationship Officer (ARO) is responsible for portfolio monitoring, asset quality management, and proactive risk mitigation of non-review accounts under the Portfolio Management (PM) team. This role focuses on early detection of credit risks, account servicing, and implementing risk control measures to minimize delinquency, maximize recoveries, and enhance asset quality.
- The ARO will also support the new Portfolio Management function, overseeing non-review loan / financing accounts from the Direct Channel (DC) to ensure portfolio stability and compliance.
Accountabilities
Oversee delinquent and problem loan accounts at Business Centres.Track Underperforming Stage 2 (S2) and Stage 1(EC) Early Control accounts, ensuring early detection and proactive risk management.Identify early warning signs of account deterioration and recommend intervention strategies.Work closely with Relationship Managers (RMs) and Business Centres (BCs) to explore rehabilitation, restructuring, or exit plans.To ensure accurate credit risk classification (ORR).Ensure compliance with MFRS9 Expected Credit Loss (ECL) guidelines, working with BCs and RMs on impairment impacts.Monitor Experian CMS alerts (Red Alert, Business Watch, Credit Watch) and take necessary actions within stipulated timelines.Ensure timely submission of delinquent account reports and Group Alert Committee (GAC) reports to management.Develop process enhancements to improve credit monitoring, risk assessment, and portfolio oversight.Provide data-driven insights to improve asset quality and minimize risks.Support the preparation of risk management strategies for accounts transitioning after the 3-year management period.Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.2-3 years experience in banking, credit monitoring, or risk management.Strong credit risk assessment and portfolio management skills.Knowledge of banking products, credit operations, and financial analysis.Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and credit monitoring tools.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work independently, resourceful, and detail-oriented.High integrity, discipline, and accountability.Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical skills.Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.#J-18808-Ljbffr
