Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused F&B Hostess to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a seamless dining experience in our establishment.
- Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival, setting a positive tone for their dining experience
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently, optimizing table utilization
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions
- Coordinate with kitchen and wait staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Handle guest inquiries and special requests professionally and promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Monitor dining room capacity and manage wait times effectively
- Assist in resolving any guest concerns or complaints with empathy and efficiency
- Collaborate with other team members to maintain high service standards
- Keep up-to-date with menu changes, events, and promotions
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required
Qualifications
Previous experience as an F&B Hostess or in a similar customer service roleExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong guest engagement abilities and a friendly, approachable demeanorProficiency in English; knowledge of local languages is a plusDemonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situationsDetail-oriented with excellent organizational abilitiesFlexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidaysBasic computer skills for managing reservations and using point-of-sale systemsKnowledge of restaurant operations and food service proceduresAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentStrong multitasking skills and capacity to prioritize tasks effectivelyProfessional appearance and adherence to grooming standardsKnowledge of local cuisine and culture in Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaAbility to work effectively in a multicultural environmentAdditional Information
