Manager / Assistant Manager, Global Markets Finance (Valuation Control)
The Global Markets Finance Manager's key responsibility is to ensure that on a regional level, the valuation methodologies are in compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and the internal policies of the bank. In addition to this, the successful candidate will support Global Markets and other related business units in product rollout by leveraging on the jobholder’s valuation and product knowledge. This role will report to Head - Finance (Middle Office Global Markets Finance).
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Work with the Head of Middle Office to achieve the objectives of the Valuation Control function, including both project-based and recurring responsibilities.
- Assist in designing, implementing, documenting and running monthly price testing procedures for all products to support the Global Markets trading business.
- Assist in performing validation of pricing models and other valuation techniques, both on initial implementation and as part of a regular cycle of ongoing model validation.
- Work closely with other businesses and stakeholders to support new product rollout.
- Assist in developing, documenting and maintaining Reserves policy to cover provisioning calculations for all products.
- Continuous process improvement, aiming to improve price testing quality and coverage through better data and analytics, automation and process efficiency.
Jobholder Requirements
Education / Qualification
Degree in Finance, Accounting or a quantitative discipline (e.g. Engineering, Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics).Preferably with ACCA / CPA and / or relevant professional qualifications (e.g. FRM; PRMIA; CFA).Experience / Requirements
Experience 3 years and above relevant work experience; Banking / Finance / Insurance Industry is a plus. Prior experience with derivative pricing software (e.g. Murex; Bloomberg derivative pricing functions; FinCad) is a plus. Strong Excel skills essential, preferably with VBA. Familiarity with simple relational databases (e.g. MS Access) and query writing will be well regarded. Experience with Murex highly desirable. Familiarity with Bloomberg and / or Reuters desirable.#J-18808-Ljbffr
