Job Purpose

The Head of Finance is responsible for all accounting, finance and tax related matters for Commerz Global Service Solutions KL as well as the finance services provided to the Commerzbank branches

• Responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
• Supervise and manage the finance teams in order to ensure that work is prepared and completed in a timely and accurate manner. This include general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs for services provided to Commerzbank branches
• Close cooperation with regional CFO of Commerzbank AG to achieve regional and entity targets
• To direct and oversee all Finance related activities of the entity and the Finance related services performed by the entity. These services include Head Office Reporting, Expense Management, Control Activities, Project coordination and certain governance topics
• To establish and enforce policies and strategies to manage the Finance function, including to ensure the integrity of financial reports produced and co-ordinate timely implementation of changes in accounting rules for German GAAP (HGB), IFRS local and internal regulations.
• Contributes in strategic meetings to review, evaluate, and / or propose new business opportunities through the implementation / enhancement of operational and / or technical solutions, which are intended to improve business relationships and operating efficiencies while reducing costs.
• Support and advise the CEO in the financial steering and controlling of CGSS KL and provide adequate management reporting’s
• Strong analytical ability with fast and independent decision making
• Provide strong Leadership to the finance department combined with intercultural guidance
• Planning and monitoring of cash flow and P&L
• Liaise with auditors, tax agent, solicitors
• Supervise and oversight of financial reporting’s and expense management function in the role of a service provider
• Contribution in management committee on constant cost reviews and optimization with aim to increase profitability
• Provide guidance on system migration where applicable and where Finance function is involved and support the region.
