Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Planning :

Ensure timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to management.
Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with MFRS. -Assist in business planning, annual budget preparation, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
Analyse and monitor financial performance against budgets, investigate variances, and provide commentary.

Accounting Operations :

Oversee the full spectrum of accounting functions including AR, AP and GL Manage daily finance operations and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.

Develop and implement accounting policies, business processes, and internal control measures.

Continuously improve financial processes, reporting standards, and operational efficiency.

Audit & Compliance

Coordinate and manage statutory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance of financial records.

Prepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits.

Ensure adherence to tax regulations, statutory requirements, and MFRS standards.

Oversee tax reporting including CIT, SST, WHT and other statutory filings.

Leadership & Management

Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts team to achieve departmental goals.

Collaborate with senior management to support decision Making with financial insights.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification (MIA / CPA / ACCA / CIMA / ICAEW or equivalent).

8–12 years of progressive, hands-on experience in finance, statutory audit, and tax compliance, preferably in the retail industry.

Strong understanding of retail operations, including sales reporting, inventory management, and cost control.

Experience handling multi-outlet, high-volume transactions and group-level consolidation. Familiarity with retail ERP systems / POS integration

Strong knowledge of MFRS, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.

Results-driven, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced retail environment.

Able to work independently with high integrity and attention to detail.
