Procurement Manager – Packaging ASPAC
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Procurement Manager to lead our Packaging procurement activities across the ASPAC region. This role is crucial for optimizing our packaging spend, driving innovation, and fostering strong supplier relationships to support BP’s business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies for packaging across the ASPAC region, including spend profiling and market intelligence.
- Lead sophisticated negotiations with key packaging suppliers, ensuring optimal terms, pricing, and service levels.
- Apply Agility core practices and Agility tools to streamline procurement processes and enhance responsiveness to business needs.
- Conduct thorough business requirements analysis to ensure packaging solutions align with operational demands and strategic goals.
- Proactively lead and develop strong, collaborative relationships with key packaging suppliers, driving performance and identifying innovation opportunities.
- Apply sophisticated analytical thinking to identify cost‑saving opportunities, mitigate risks, and improve procurement efficiency.
- Demonstrate fluency by employing technologies and data analytics to advise procurement decisions and optimize outcomes.
- Prepare detailed negotiation plans and prepare for all significant packaging contracts.
- Keep abreast of product and market intelligence within the packaging industry to advise strategic sourcing decisions and identify emerging trends.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal partners to ensure alignment on packaging requirements and delivery.
Job Qualifications
Experience in procurement management, specifically within the packaging sector.Strong understanding of Agility core practices and proficiency with Agility tools.Outstanding analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.Proven expertise in business requirements analysis.Extensive experience in category spend profiling and developing robust category strategies.Highly skilled in negotiating and preparing for complex negotiations.Excellent knowledge of product and market intelligence within the packaging industry.Proven track record in supplier relationship management, encouraging mutually beneficial partnerships.Strong digital proficiency and comfort with demonstrating technology for procurement processes.Ability to work optimally in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment across diverse cultures.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.Benefits
