Head of E-commerce
Position Summary The Head of E-commerce will be responsible for developing, leading, and executing e-commerce strategies to drive online sales growth, strengthen brand presence, and enhance customer experience across all digital platforms. This role is key to driving digital transformation, ensuring alignment with business objectives while responding to a fast-evolving online retail and digital consumer landscape.
Working Location Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang (next to Setia Alam)
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an integrated e-commerce strategy aligned with business goals for local and regional markets.
- Identify and evaluate new digital business opportunities, including partnerships, marketplaces (e.g., Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop), and D2C platforms.
- Forecast e-commerce sales targets and drive profitability across all online channels.
- Oversee day-to-day e-commerce operations, including product listings, pricing, promotions, fulfillment, logistics, and customer service in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Manage digital storefronts (own website, marketplaces, social commerce platforms), ensuring product availability, accuracy, and brand consistency.
- Work closely with fulfillment partners to ensure seamless order-to-delivery processes.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key e-commerce metrics (traffic, conversion, basket size, ROAS, etc.).
- Optimize digital sales funnels and improve overall online customer experience (UI / UX, customer journey mapping).
- Manage P&L for e-commerce division and optimize budget allocation for maximum ROI.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing e-commerce and digital marketing team.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across sales, trade marketing, brand, and IT departments to support digital growth.
- Foster a data-driven and agile digital culture within the organization.
- Stay updated with local and regional e-commerce trends and emerging technologies.
- Leverage consumer insights and digital analytics to shape commercial decisions.
- Introduce innovative strategies including omnichannel integration, loyalty programs, and personalized marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Communications, Business Administration, or any other related field.At least 8 years of working experience in E-commerce or key account management within a fast-paced and highly competitive business environment.Strong strategic planning and digital business acumen.In-depth knowledge of Malaysia’s e-commerce ecosystem and online consumer behavior.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance metrics and derive actionable insights.Experience in e-commerce performance marketing and CRM.Financial literacy with experience in managing e-commerce P&L and ROI-driven decision-making.Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
