Responsibility :
Source, negotiate, and manage suppliers to secure the best pricing, terms, and timely delivery of materials.
Ensure purchased items comply with Malaysian standards and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and submit applications to :
o SIRIM (product certification, testing reports, labeling requirements).
o Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) Certificate of Approval (COA) for electrical products.
o Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) device certifications.
Ensure timely renewal and tracking of all relevant certificates and licenses.
Maintain proper filing and documentation for all regulatory submissions and approvals.
Liaise with testing labs, consultants, and government officials where required.
Support internal and external audits related to product compliance and import controls.
Authority :
Create Purchase Orders and Material Master.
Manage shipment arrangements from issuance of Purchase Orders to arrival at warehouse / site.
Role Requirements :
Degree in Business Administration / Supply Chain or any related field.
At least 5 years of experience in purchasing operations will be preferred.
Mandarin proficiency (written / spoken) is essential for liaising with China / Taiwan based suppliers.
Strong analytical, communication skills & attention to details.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities & meet deadlines.
Good knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
