About The Role

Primary Account New Business Manager in S&P Global Commodity Insights. Drive growth by identifying and securing new clients in the Agriculture and Metals Markets. As part of the Global New Business team, you will help expand reach, build our customer base and deliver value to our customers.

The Team

The Global New Business team is a group of sales professionals who drive new revenue growth. We collaborate with Marketing, Specialist and Research teams to expand our business with new customers who may become long-term clients. We work in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment with opportunities for personal and professional growth within a global, industry-leading organization.

Responsibilities And Impact

  • Proactively outreach to potential new customers – from a defined list and by expanding to reach a new customer base.
  • Assess customer needs through proactive engagement and close the sale directly or pass the sale to international colleagues as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to nurture sales and drive customer acquisition.
  • Stay up to date with expanding customer offerings and articulate the value of our products and services.
  • Develop an understanding of the industries we serve to identify customer needs and value delivered.
  • Document all client interactions in SFDC (CRM) and provide feedback on wins or losses to support ongoing success.
  • Aim to achieve / exceed individual and team sales quotas and identify opportunities to work smarter and more effectively.
  • Develop and maintain a plan for sustainable delivery of sales goals and personal development.

What We’re Looking For

Basic Required Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills to diagnose client needs and articulate value.
  • Proactive, resilient and enthusiastic approach to outreach and delivering a great customer experience.
  • Experience in consultative / diagnostic sales and / or relevant industry knowledge, with a willingness to learn as markets and products evolve.
  • Strong personal integrity, confident and positive manner.
  • Fluent spoken and written English; other languages may be useful.
  • Ability to work the hours suitable for APAC / EMEA / Americas time zones (tbc).
  • Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-3+ years of experience in sales or relevant industry knowledge (agriculture or metals markets).
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization and collaborative environments.
