In this pivotal role within our Business Shared Service Center (BSC), you'll manage a team to collaborate with affiliates in Japan to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting while driving process optimization.1.

• Financial Close & Reporting
• Lead the monthly close process, collaborating closely with the BSC teams (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable) to ensure timely deliverables.
• Preparing supporting schedules for financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and ensure the accuracy of general ledger accounts, such as advances, prepaids, and accruals.
• Be responsible for the timely preparation of consolidated group financial reports using IRIS or other relevant tools.
• Perform reconciliations between Local GAAP and IFRS GAAP.2.
• Accounting & Internal Control
• Oversee all General Ledger transactions and reporting activities.
• Ensure the integrity of the balance sheet through reconciliation and perform journal adjustments when required.
• Conduct internal control activities in accordance with group policies, ensuring robust internal controls for the company.3.
• Compliance & Coordination
• Ensure strong compliance with tax and other local regulations.
• Conduct regular meetings with Japan affiliates to follow up on transition action plans and provide global visibility on their financial statements.4.
• Process Optimization & Team Management
• Assist in developing reporting processes for centralization initiatives, aiming for a sustainable cost structure and high-quality deliverables.
• Act as the key knowledge owner for IRIS reporting (Group Reporting) and provide training to BSC team members.
• Be responsible for the quality of team deliverables and be involved in or lead Finance Process Improvement Projects from time to time.
• Assist in the knowledge transfer from selected countries into the BSC.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Fluent in English and Japanese.
• At least 5 years of experience in an SSC finance & accounting environment.
• Minimum of 4 team members of people management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, local, and international accounting standards.
• Possess strong team player qualities, take initiative, and demonstrate ownership of assigned duties.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong customer relationship skills.
