Sunway Innovation Labs at Sunway University (iLabs Foundry) nurtures next-generation entrepreneurs and innovators by driving entrepreneurship, fostering innovation, and managing the incubation and acceleration of university start-ups.

The iLabs Foundry’s entrepreneurship education programmes are a collaborative platform for the University community to explore their interest in innovation and entrepreneurship through a hands-on, interactive and problem-oriented learning approach, where students can connect their educational experience with real-world application that addresses some of the world’s most pressing challenges.

The Entrepreneurship Education Specialist (EES) will bring teaching experience and pedagogy expertise to inspire, mentor, and guide aspiring entrepreneurs, providing invaluable support throughout the start-up journey. Additionally, the EES will play a crucial role in fostering an entrepreneurial mindset and facilitating the growth of start-up ventures within the university community.

Specific Duties of the Role :

Responsibilities

• Teaching across areas of innovation and entrepreneurship, which may include both credit-bearing and non-credit-bearing programmes / subjects.
• Assist in curriculum development, innovation, enhancement and quality assurance.
• Design and manage assessments to gauge students’ understanding and application of course materials and provide constructive feedback on assignments and examinations, promoting student growth.
• Assist in the execution of iLabs startup programmes, such as LaunchX.
• Providing mentorship and guidance to members of the University community who are interested in entrepreneurship, assisting them in developing their business ideas and ventures. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams within the Sunway ecosystem and beyond.
• Conducting research that contributes to best practices in entrepreneurship teaching and learning, including piloting innovative teaching methodologies to enhance the learning experience.
• Participate in collaborations with other universities, and with government, industry and / or society to drive entrepreneurship education excellence.
