Job description

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma / Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree / Professional Degree in Engineering (Environmental / Health / Safety) or equivalent.
  • At least 2 - 5 years experience in related field preferably in manufacturing industries.
  • Experience in EHS field and familiar with ISO14001 and ISO45001 requirements.
  • Good knowledge in ESH Regulations specifically OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, FSA 1988, EQA 1974, etc.
  • Required language(s) : Bahasa Malaysia, English. Proficiency in Mandarin language will be an added advantage.
  • Valid CePSWAM (Schedule Waste Competent Person) will be an added advantage

Responsibilities

  • In-charge and initiate the company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives.
  • Respond to, investigate, and report all workplace accidents or injuries; implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Review, propose, and update Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures in alignment with current regulations and best practices.
  • Ensure understanding and compliance with 6S standards.
  • Monitor and enforce safety measures to protect employee health and prevent environmental pollution.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update all necessary EHS documentation and data.
  • Monitor compliance with all relevant government EHS regulations and ensure full adherence.
  • Train, supervise, and motivate employees to carry out their duties in a safe, responsible, and environmentally sound manner.
  • Assist with other tasks and ad-hoc duties as assigned by the superior.
  • Conduct safety risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and environmental impact assessments.
  • Manage scheduled waste inventories, DOE eSWiS monthly reports, and consignment notes.
  • Liaise with DOSH, DOE, and Bomba officers during inspections and respond to inquiries.
  • Provide EHS training to all levels of employees including operators, technicians, and engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation such as SHO regulations, EQA (Scheduled Wastes) 2005, and EQA 1974.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the EHS Manager.
