senior audit associate and assistant audit manager
for their firm based in Kuala Lumpur.
1. Senior Audit Associate
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver high-quality auditing services and manage assigned projects.
- Perform audit procedures in compliance with the firm's policies and
International Standards on Auditing
(ISA).
Ensure audit working papers comply with firm policies and ISA standards.Highlight any issues that may impact the audit opinion to the engagement manager and partner.Lead, manage, and allocate tasks to junior auditors.Supervise and review the work of audit assistants, ensuring proper sign-off.Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance withMalaysian Financial Reporting Standards
(MFRS) and statutory requirements.
Prepare consolidated accounts, audit reports, and management letters.Implement approved action plans to ensure timely completion of audit reports.Assist the engagement manager in preparing theAudit Planning Memorandum
and
Audit Review Memorandum
Collaborate with team members to execute the audit plan and ensure timely audit completion.Manage client relationships and expectations to foster ongoing partnerships.Requirements :
Recognized University Degreein Accounting, Finance, or equivalent, or an
ACCA finalist
with 1-2 outstanding papers.
Minimum 3 to 5 yearsof relevant experience in the field.

2. Assistant Audit Manager
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and manage fieldwork on client sites, coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth audit delivery.Review and evaluate risk, document and assess key controls, process flows, and identify significant accounting issues.Demonstrate expertise in primary accounting frameworks (MFRS
and
MPERS
) and financial reporting matters.
Prepare detailedAudit Planning Memorandum
, identifying risk areas.
Plan audit work programs, including the timing and extent of procedures, and agree on timelines with clients.Brief engagement team on focus areas, risk areas, and potential audit issues.Provide supervision and guidance to audit staff, ensuring compliance with the firm's audit methodology.Monitor audit progress, review and sign off all audit working papers.Ensure completeness of working papers with proper sign-offs by relevant personnel.Review draft financial statements andAudit Planning Memorandum
PrepareAudit Review Memorandum
and draft the proposed auditor's report.
Ensure the audit engagement file is complete and properly assembled.Review staff performance and provide constructive feedback.Prepare billings and assist with collections.Ensure all outstanding audit matters are addressed and resolved.Gain a comprehensive understanding of client operations and business objectives, applying this knowledge to engagements.Identify areas for improvement in client business processes and provide recommendations, delivering theManagement Letter
Coach and mentor less experienced staff, sharing knowledge and expertise.Adhere to the highest professional standards and maintain strict client confidentiality.Requirements :
