Join UCT as the Manager of Test Equipment Engineering & Design and take charge of designing and supporting our global fleet of in-house designed test equipment. This role is vital in ensuring the highest build quality through rigorous product testing, and you'll play a key role in supporting the entire product lifecycle—from sales support and quoting to production, design, evolution, and automation. You'll be part of a dynamic environment that meets stringent semiconductor manufacturing standards while fostering continuous improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Innovate and Lead : Spearhead the concept, design, procurement, qualification, and validation of state-of-the-art test equipment.
- Build a World-Class Team : Hire, develop, retain and lead a team of specialized engineers, including experts in mechanical, electrical, software, and systems integration, to support our growth and diverse product lines.
- Customer Collaboration : Translate customer product test requirements into clear Statements of Work (SOW) and schedules, often working directly with customer technical teams to align on requirements and approaches.
- Continuous Improvement : Drive the ongoing enhancement of manufacturing processes, systems, and corporate QMS documentation to maintain excellence in quality, cost, and delivery.
- Future-Proof Processes : Anticipate and implement processes and intelligence systems to meet and exceed future business requirements.
- Strategic Initiatives : Lead or support various continuous improvement initiatives across the organization to ensure cost-efficiency and continuity of supply.
Desired Skills and Qualifications :
Industry Expertise : Experience in Contract Manufacturing (CM), with a preference for semiconductor industry experience.Technical Proficiency : Broad system-level design and test experience for complex systems, including National Instruments hardware / software and PLCs; Fluid Mechanics including Gas Handling Experience : Pressure, Flow, Gas, Liquids; Electrical Principles : Proficiency in AC, DC Electrical Control and Sensing Systems.Leadership Experience : Proven ability to lead diverse, distributed technical teams and manage complex projects involving multiple engineering disciplines.Innovative Mindset : Knowledge of Advanced Factory 4.0 design principles and experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment.ERP Savvy : Experience with SAP ERP systems and Agile PLM.Educational and Certification Requirements :
Degree : BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.Professional Experience :
Industry Experience : Over 10 years in product development, test equipment engineering, and product testing, preferably in the semiconductor sector.Management Experience : More than 7 years managing engineering teams of 7 or more members.Physical Demands and Working Conditions :
