Job description
Role Responsibilities :
Source, negotiate, and manage suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and timely delivery of materials.
Ensure all purchased items comply with Malaysian standards, regulations, and statutory requirements.
Prepare and submit applications to relevant authorities, including SIRIM – product certification, testing reports, and labeling requirements, Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) – Certificate of Approval (COA) for electrical products and Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) – device certifications
Monitor, track, and ensure timely renewal of all relevant certificates and licenses.
Maintain accurate filing and documentation of regulatory submissions, approvals, and related records.
Liaise with testing laboratories, consultants, and government officials as required.
Support internal and external audits on product compliance, procurement, and import controls.
Authority
Create Purchase Orders and Material Master records.
Manage shipment arrangements from the issuance of Purchase Orders to delivery at warehouse or site.
Role Requirements :
Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement operations; experience in international sourcing is an advantage.
Proficiency in Mandarin (written and spoken) to facilitate communication with suppliers in China and Taiwan.
Strong analytical and communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Good working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
