RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for business management and business operation, ensuring compliance to local regulations and internal guidelines
- Responsible for achieving the sales targets and sustainable growth for the assigned products and customer groups in Malaysia
- Align the business direction and trends regionally and advises the regional BL head regarding market strategy.
- Monitor market trends and development, identify prospects and explore new business opportunities.
- Generate, evaluate, and report market and competitive information to ensure competitive advantage.
- Develops and maintains a project pipeline.
- Implement marketing and pricing strategy
- Act as the primary contact to assigned customers in Malaysia
- Respond to inquiries from customers, make offers to customers and taken them to a conclusion
- Responsible for negotiation of sales contracts and agreements in cooperation with the regional head and marketing team
- Conduct and control all elements of basic sales process, such as : offers and contracts, incl. their documentation, credit management, solve open points in processing and logistics and account receivable management etc.
- Manage relationships with customers, understand their requirements, provide commercial and technical solutions, trouble shoot and resolve compliant, if required
- Visit regularly existing and potential customers and respond to their needs, together with marketing to develop value propositions for individual segments / customers
- Accountable for customer satisfaction and loyalty to ensure sustainable business relation
- Channel Management – select the right distributers and business facilitators for the different product lines if required; manages distributors to ensure aligned business strategy and sustainable growth
- Develop contacts with local Industry Associations and government bodies to monitor market trend and keep track of regulatory issues
- Manage local stock sales
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, business or equivalentMinimum 3 years of sales or marketing experience in chemicals / oleochemicals industry.Strong business acumen and negotiation skillsExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsAmbition to drive business to meet or exceed expectationStrong analytical and strategic thinkingHigh level of initiative and able to work unsupervisedFluency in local language is a must. Good oral and written EnglishWillingness to travel
