Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in operations within the fashion or retail industry.
  • Candidates must possess at least Degree
  • Strong understanding of retail, e-commerce, logistics, and wholesale dynamics.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English & Mandarin (spoken & written).
  • Highly independent, proactive, and resourceful — able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Passionate about streetwear, fashion, and youth culture.
  • Comfortable working remotely and across time zones.

Responsibilities

OPERATIONS MANAGER (FASHION & FOOTWEAR)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Retail & Sales Operations

  • Oversee and manage the performance, staffing, and operations of our retail stores in Tokyo and Southeast Asia.
  • Supervise and guide sales team to meet and exceed KPIs and ensure brand consistency.
  • Source, negotiate, and manage consignment and wholesale partnerships across key markets.

    • Online Sales Management

  • Monitor and manage e-commerce performance across multiple platforms (e.g., Shopify, Shopee, Tmall, etc.).
  • Coordinate with fulfilment teams to ensure seamless customer experience.

    • Inventory & Logistics

  • Manage inventory levels across multiple warehouses in Asia (Malaysia, Japan, China).
  • Streamline inbound and outbound processes, ensure efficient use of inventory, monitor stock movement, and ensure accurate stock reporting.

    • Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify and open new market opportunities through collaborations, partnerships, retail placements, or distribution.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders, distributors, agents, and retailers in all markets.
  • Act as brand ambassador to expand visibility and credibility in new regions.

    • Travel & Location

  • Expected to travel frequently to Japan, SEA, and China.
  • Open to being based in Tokyo for extended periods (1-month intervals or longer as required).
