Job descriptionPossess Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Proven experience as Production Manager / Supervisor with solid knowledge and understanding of production management Experience in Sheet Metal Industry is preferred Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts Experience in reporting on key production metrics Proficient in MS Office (especially in Excel) and ERP software Able to understand engineering drawings and bill of material Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach Mechanical design skills are added advantage
About this Role
The company in the sheet metal manufacturing process industries. The incumbent will report directly to the Production Plant Manager, and is responsible for the management of production operations – Turret Punching, Bending, Welding and Assembly, while liaising with other internal teams to ensure operational excellence.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage and evaluate entire production process
- Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
- Monitor production to resolve issues
- Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (direct and indirect workers and supervisors.)
- Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
- Plan for maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.
- Ensure output meets quality standards
- Enforce health and safety precautions, zero accident rates at all times
- Contribute to production planning and budgeting
- Lead and monitor quality assessments to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain a safe production environment
