Provide prompt medical attention to all patients arriving at the A&E Department.
Perform initial assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients in emergency and urgent situations.
Carry out resuscitation and stabilization procedures according to established emergency protocols (e.g., Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)).
Manage trauma, medical, surgical, and pediatric emergencies appropriately.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., blood investigations, X-rays, ECG, CT scans) and initiate appropriate management plans.
Liaise with consultants and relevant specialists for patient referral, admission, or transfer as required.
Ensure continuity of care for admitted patients until handed over to the respective ward doctors or consultants.
Maintain accurate and complete medical records and documentation.
To provide continuous primary and preventive healthcare, monitor and counsel on common illnesses, chronic management of diseases.
To render evidenced based investigation to the patients.
Maintain updated patient’s medical records that document all evaluations, medications, treatments, allergies, test results and other records into the Hospital Information System; in accordance with agreed protocols.
Qualification & Requirements
Recognized Medical Degree from an accredited University
Registered with Malaysian Medical Council (MMC)
Minimum 3 years’ experience in primary health care / preventive medicine will be advantaged
