Overview

At Cambridge English for Life (CEFL), we believe that English language education can transform lives. We are seeking an experienced English Language Centre Manager for our new centre at Sekyen 9, Shah Alam, Selangor. In this full-time role, you’ll do more than oversee operations — you’ll shape a learning community that empowers students, supports teachers, and delivers the high standards of the Cambridge brand trusted across Malaysia.

What you'll be doing

Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth programme delivery.

Manage class schedules, facilities, and maintenance.

Ensure compliance with policies, safety, and quality standards.

2. People Management

Lead and support teachers, customer service, and support staff.

Handle recruitment, training, and staff performance.

Foster a positive and customer-focused team culture.

3. Customer Experience

Ensure excellent service for students and parents.

Manage enquiries, feedback, and complaints effectively.

Strengthen relationships with parents and stakeholders.

4. Sales and Business Development

Drive enrolment and retention to meet targets.

Support marketing, outreach, and promotional activities.

Identify opportunities to grow centre performance.

5. Financial and Administrative Management

Manage budgets, expenses, and financial reporting.

Oversee billing, payments, and documentation accuracy.

6. Academic and Programme Coordination

Work with academic teams to ensure quality teaching.

Oversee class delivery and timetabling.

Support teachers and monitor student progress.

7. Reporting and Compliance

Prepare reports on operations, enrolment, and staffing.

Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Support audits and maintain data confidentiality.

What we're looking for

SPM / Diploma / Degree holder

Minimum 3 years of experience in managing an English language centre or similar educational institution

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students, parents, and external stakeholders

Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia
