Job description
Responsibilities
Work with Headquarters’ Legal Division and APAC Legal team to handle regional regulatory affairs such as telecommunications licence application, renewal, filing, inquiries, and other compliance matters.
Provide practical legal solutions to internal stakeholders and advise on various cross border transactions.
Support legal affairs and contract management including contract drafting, negotiation, review and approvals, etc.
Provide internal training and prepare write-ups to raise legal awareness and ensure compliance on day-to-day business operations.
Conduct legal research on the matter as required and regularly monitor and research changes in local laws and regulations in the Asia-Pacific Region.
Liaise with external counsels and assist in handling ad-hoc projects.
Job Requirements
Degree in Laws (either Common Law or Civil Law).
Qualified lawyer would be advantageous.
A minimum of 6 years’ post-graduate experience with at least 4 years relevant in-house (e.g. telecommunications or technology sector) or law firm experience.
Working experience in a multinational and multicultural business environment is preferred; experience in a Chinese company will be a plus.
