Kickstart your career as a Junior R&D Engineer
Join Penchem Technologies as a Junior R&D Engineer and bring your curiosity and technical skills to life. This role offers the chance to explore new materials, contribute to product innovation, and work alongside experienced professionals to make an impact in a fast-paced R&D environment.
Your key responsibilities in this role will be :
- Design and conduct lab experiments for formulation, process improvement, material testing, and application validation.
- Research and review technical information to support new product development and innovation.
- Analyse test results, prepare technical reports, and present key findings to teams and management.
- Assist in creating technical documents such as TDS, SDS, and BOM.
- Work closely with manufacturing, QA, marketing, and sales to align R&D efforts with business and customer needs.
- Support scale-up and technology transfer from lab to production, ensuring consistency and reliability.
- Provide technical support to customers, including troubleshooting, site visits, and product qualification.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, technologies, and regulations.
- Ensure all R&D work follows quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Industry Experience
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Polymer, Materials Science, Applied Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related discipline.1–2 years of relevant experience in R&D, preferably within the adhesives, polymers, electronics, or chemical manufacturing industries.Practical experience with analytical and characterization techniques such as TMA, DMA, DSC, TGA, thermal conductivity, electrical resistivity, FTIR, as well as root cause analysis and experimental design, is highly desirable.Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is an added advantage, as the role may require communication with Mandarin-speaking customers, particularly from China.Fresh graduates are encouraging to applyRelocation Preference
