Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Quantity Surveyor, located in Georgetown with the option of some work-from-home arrangements. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for cost control, preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), managing costs, planning costs for projects, and preparing cost reports. Daily tasks will include analysis, estimation, measurement, and valuation of construction work, ensuring projects remain on budget and are completed to the highest standards.

Qualifications

  • Skills in Cost Control, Cost Management, and Cost Planning
  • Ability to prepare and understand Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
  • Experience in Cost Reporting and analysis
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in relevant quantity surveying and cost management software
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Professional certifications or memberships (e.g., RICS, AIQS) would be advantageous

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in construction, fit-out, or interior projects.
  • Familiar with Malaysian standard forms of contract (e.g., PAM, JKR).
  • Strong knowledge of tendering, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, or related QS software.
  • Good analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
