Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Service Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of medical sterilization equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, test, and commission sterilization systems in hospitals and healthcare facilities.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to sterilizer hardware, software, and consumables (e.g., vacuum pumps, cartridges, filters).
  • Conduct equipment inspections, leak tests, and preventive checks to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Provide technical training to hospital staff on the safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Prepare detailed service reports and maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
  • Liaise with customers to ensure service satisfaction and timely resolution of issues.
  • Support sales and applications teams with technical expertise when required.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in servicing medical devices, preferably sterilizers or CSSD-related equipment.
  • Familiarity with low-temperature plasma sterilizers (hydrogen peroxide systems) is a strong advantage.
  • Good knowledge of hospital engineering systems (three-phase power, ventilation, safety standards).
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and hands-on technical skills.
  • Able to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service instructions.
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an advantage).
  • Willing to travel within Malaysia and occasionally regionally for service assignments.
