About the role

We are seeking a Regional People Operations Specialist (Payroll) to join our team and manage the end-to-end payroll process, including multiple cycles (main and off-cycle) for employees across multiple countries in ASEAN.

This role is responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency in payroll processing, covering salary disbursements, deductions, and statutory contributions. The specialist will also handle payroll queries, prepare reports and stay current with regional payroll regulations.

A summary of the key responsibilities are as follows

  • Provide hands-on operational support for regional payroll matters.
  • Collect and verify employee timekeeping records, calculate wages, salaries, deductions, and adjustments, and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Stay current with payroll laws and regulations across relevant jurisdictions, including tax withholding, reporting and filing requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and provide payroll GL data to the finance team for reconciliation.
  • Address employee payroll queries promptly and professionally.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement payroll best practices.
  • Assisting in initiating and executing People Operations projects at the regional level.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in payroll administration, preferably across multiple countries in ASEAN.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple payroll cycles independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
  • Demonstrated integrity and commitment to confidentiality.
  • A start-up attitude - you take full ownership of things that you do, willing to go out of your comfort zones and take on new challenges.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible to learn new things - we're not done growing, and heading into uncharted territories is part of the fun
