onsemi is looking for a self-driven and motivated professional to join their Test Engineering team in Reliability lab. As a Test Engineer in the Quality and Reliability testing, you will engage with product / test engineering and REL BU engineering team to drive Reliability testing readiness for electronic vehicle for discrete, Analog, Logic and new technologies Hi-current and Hi-voltage modules. Your primary role will be to develop electrical test setup and troubleshoot test routines for automated test equipment in Reliability lab. To create test programs for discrete technology product or work with Manufacturing / Product Test Eng groups, to come up the appropriate test programs for test designed interface Hardware for units mounted on PCB card.

  • Responsible to work closely with Lab Operations, to ensure all product and equipment setup issues are attended on timely manner with minimum delay.
  • Responsible for verification / training of the new test Designed Hardware / program, and work closely with Lab operation on the execution.
  • Work closely with respective Vendors / Mfg TE / PE from Test hardware Design to fabrication, ensuring the capability is in place per the committed timeline.
  • Responsible to ensure test program and new test setup capabilities are in place per the committed timeline.
  • Disposition and Verification of electrical data / failures of the products are done in timely manner.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in EE, ET, or EMET plus 10+ years in the power semiconductors field or master’s degree plus 5+ years in the semiconductor industry.
  • Individual must be able to multi-task as an individual and in team environments.
  • Laboratory experience with power semiconductor products (IGBT, Diode, MOSFET required.
  • Individual must have excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Individual must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Must have excellent communication skills verbal as well as written (English).
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in performing high current analog circuit design
  • Experience developing complex software applications in NI LabVIEW
  • AutoCAD experience for documentation of designs
  • Should have a strong understanding of device and package failure analysis techniques
  • Should have a strong understanding of Power and Thermal calculations.
  • Experience developing embedded control systems.
  • Strong understanding of high current power delivery (50ADC-2000ADC).
  • Interested in bringing the most advanced Power Semiconductors to the Automotive Industry.
