Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Direct Health Care

  • Provides care to the students and staff who need emergency care due to injury or who present with an acute illness.
  • Assists with the development of school emergency response plan for emergencies and disasters.
  • Monitors and checks the adherence to health standard when providing food to students / staff.
  • Verifies that school policies and procedures meet the legal and regulatory statutes and ethical standards of nursing practice.
  • Addresses potential health problems and develop, implement plans, and evaluate response to health interventions.
  • Monitors immunizations and reports communicable diseases as required by law.
  • Review immunization records for compliance to state laws and school policies.
  • Assesses the physical environment of the school to improve health and safety.
  • Prepares and check the first aid kits for each building in the school.

    • Health Awareness.

  • Provides training to the staff to respond appropriately emergencies.
  • Plan and implement programs and activities that promote health awareness.
  • Provides health information to assist students and families in making health-related decisions.
  • Plans, implements, and supervises school health screening programs in accordance with state requirements and recommendations.
  • Prepares and present reports about the health status, conditions, and achievements'.

    • Education and / or Work Experience Requirements :

  • Diploma / Bachelor degree in nursing.
  • At least two years' experience in nursing.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
  • Experience in an international school environment (preferred).
