Senior Executive, Data Analytics (Data Scientist) Department
Supervise, formulate, and manage administrative and management frameworks for comprehensive analysis of content and user behaviour across digital platforms to support policy development and regulatory compliance through data‑driven insights. Lead to monitor and identify key trends, produce insights to support strategic decision‑making within the department, and ensure the organisation's high awareness, responsiveness, and engagement objectives are achieved.
Job Responsibilities
Monitoring and Execution
Supervise and plan to monitor key events and incidents to enhance organizational awareness, response timeline, and the efficiency of the reaction process.
Emerging content platforms and trends
Identify and analyse emerging content platforms and trends to identify areas requiring intervention, and to propose the necessary strategy to manage and mitigate possible violations and misuse.
Framework Review and Improvement
Develop frameworks to review, improve and update content monitoring frameworks to ensure adaptation and resilience to the ever‑changing internet / new media environment.
Metric Development
Supervise and formulate metrics, frameworks and analytical approaches to ensure stakeholders' understanding of the content portfolio and provide actionable insights. Design, build and manage information visualizations and dashboard tools to share key metrics with stakeholders.
Impact and Risk Assessment
Assess associated impact and risks associated with critical cases / actions. Escalate and propose courses of actions for consideration and approval of Head department.
Standards and Reporting
Supervise, formulate, document, and reinforce standards for scheduled reporting to articulate stakeholder expectations clearly and ensure their understanding.
Single Source of Truth
Supervise and implement methodologies and processes to maintain a single source of truth for reporting and analytics purposes.
Unit Management and Development
Supervise and manage a robust team with unit staff. Set clear unit objectives, collaborate with direct reports on effective execution strategies, monitor progress, communicate outcomes, and oversee the management and development of unit staff.
Qualification & Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in journalism / communication or other related qualification from a recognized university. Minimum 5 years of working experience, with strong knowledge of new media landscape and writing, as well sound understandings of legal and regulatory frameworks.
