Design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performing architectures for the e-commerce mobile app for Android and iOS, using Kotlin Multiplatform. Lead the development and evolution of the app to support new use-cases, evolution of the underlying systems, and traffic growth. Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, and development teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions. Develop and maintain architectural standards, including best practices for data modeling, APIs, and system integration. Evaluate and recommend technologies, identifying the most suitable frameworks (e.g., Compose Multiplatform) to balance performance, scalability, and business needs. Act as a technical expert in e-commerce app solutions, ensuring the app meets business and performance requirements, and deliver a great UX. Stay hands-on with the codebase when needed, providing guidance to development teams, managing technical debt, and ensuring high-quality standards. Drive compliance with IT security, risk assessments, and regulatory requirements for platform operations. Click on the link to know more Kuala Lumpur | Hilti Careers What You Need Is Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. At least 7 years in software development, with a prior experience as an architect / tech lead. Prior experience working on an e-commerce website. Technical Expertise : Strong expertise of mobile app ecosystem on Android and iOS – mobile app codebase architecture, push notifications architecture. Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform is a must-have. Understanding and experience of cloud-based solutions, ideally using AWS services for hosting and scalability. Hands-on experience in API design and development, including API gateways, microservices, and data synchronization workflows.
