Job description

Job Requirements

  • Manage overall productions and is responsible for the effective and successful management of manpower, productivity & people's efficiency, and enforcement of safety measures.

2. Manage and ensuring adequate capacity and resources (machines, equipment, manpower etc.) are in place to ensure operation compliance as well as meeting the planned schedule / output.

3. Recruit, select, train, assign, coach, counsel, discipline and ensure competency and empowerment of operators, machinist, planner, technicians and supervisor / line leader in carry out their responsibilities effectively.

4. Enhance and ensure effectiveness of QMS compliances, operational procedures, and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, management reporting and drive opportunities for continuous improvement.

5. Drive strategic plans and KPI reviews of operational excellence; prepare and complete action plans, productivity, quality, resolve problems, audits requirement and identify trends.

6. Develop, implement, enforce and evaluate operation systems; material WIP, equipment utilization.

7. Implement changes and improve organizational process and workflow, facilities space requirement, and equipment layout.

8. Direct and assign duties for operation personnel' schedules and authorized overtime and control as necessary to meet production schedules.

9.  To coordinate and ensure effective CA implementation throughout the operation.

10. Identify, develop and manage manufacturing sub-contracting works.

11. Ensuring the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization. Communicate customer issues with operations team, resolve problems and complaints.

  • Participate in monthly operation meeting & yearly management review meeting.

    • 13. Responsible for all aspects of facilities upkeep, ensuring proper equipment maintenance.

    14. Establish waste management control.

    15. Organizes and promote company-wide improvement efforts.

    16. To ensure effective part identification, product preservation and traceability throughout the product realization cycle.

    17. Involved organization risk identification meeting to ensure proper risk management.

    18. Work closely with Supply Chain Manager and team to perform analysis of inventory and utilizing inventory effectively.

    19. Ensure 5S, work safety within the organization.

    20. Involved in contract review in assessing the product risk and requirement.

    21. Responsible in reviewing and approving ECN raised by Engineering.

    22. Ensure proper use of Production stamp which fall under stamp control process.

    23. Prepare, manage and review annual budget, schedule expenditures, analyse variances in collaboration with top management.

    24. Manage staff levels, wages, hours, contract labor to revenues.

    25.  Maintain a safe, injury / accident-free workplace.

    Education & Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing / operations environment.

    • Experience

  • Hands-on experience in production & operations planning, scheduling, and execution.
  • Strong exposure to LEAN Management, GMP, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience in machine shop operations (CNC, machining, assembly) and resource optimization.
  • Proven track record in people management, including leading supervisors and operators.
  • Experience working with senior management and cross-functional teams.

    • Knowledge

  • Familiar with Aerospace standards (AS9100, ISO 9001).
  • Understanding of engineering drawings, machining processes, and customer product requirements.
  • Knowledge in manufacturing flow principles : FIFO, JIT, capacity planning.

    • Skills

  • Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications and ERP / MRP systems.
  • Excellent decision-making skills in complex and time-sensitive situations.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of QMS processes and interdepartmental workflows.

    • Abilities

  • Ability to analyze data, track performance, and drive actions to improve production efficiency.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts, manage sensitive issues, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong commitment to product safety and quality conformity.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with both internal teams and external service providers to ensure smooth operations.
