IT Support Analyst - QAD

Overview

The main function of this individual contributor position is to participate in support and maintenance efforts of the ERP and various business systems, integrating into business processes to improve efficiency for all stakeholders. Key activities include estimation of support effort, requirement analysis and documentation, development and execution of testing plans, preparing training documentation, and supporting end user training. This role collaborates across the Global IT organization as needed.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Manager – IT Applications and has no direct or indirect reports.
• Rotational shift schedule with partial overlap with core US-based team hours between 7 am and 5 pm CST; some in-office presence required.
• Provide leadership in the use of Information Technology to become a trusted advisor to the organization.
• Monitor industry trends and technologies, recommending and applying new technologies as they emerge.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and best practices to protect data and ensure compliance.

• Monitor tickets in the service desk queue, acknowledge tickets with appropriate urgency and priority.
• Participate in global support efforts for Enterprise Applications and software according to agreed SLA within Valmont IT Shared Services.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to identify, analyze and document functional business requirements for production support.
• Escalate as necessary and work with technical & functional L3 teams to develop and implement solutions; participate in Major Incident Management calls to resolve urgent tickets.
• Develop and validate testing plans; conduct functional user testing to ensure delivered solutions meet requirements.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing with business stakeholders.
• Write support documentation for Enterprise software (release notes, help docs, articles, features).
• Make recommendations for process improvements within business and IT.
