Overview
Associate - AEOI Compliance Group at Waystone. Waystone leads the way in specialist services for the asset management industry, partnering with institutional investors, investment funds and asset managers to build, support and protect investment structures and strategies worldwide.
The Associate will service and maintain relationships with a portfolio of clients with complex structures, complete annual filings and ad hoc client requests, and provide support to the Directors and Associate Director. The role includes completing database projects for client reporting and ensuring smooth operations from onboarding through active status.
Responsibilities
- Independently liaise in a timely and professional manner with internal departments and clients. Prepare documents such as tax forms, notices and relevant FATCA reports.
- Monitor the accounts receivable for a portfolio of clients.
- Assist in the development and implementation of department AEOI procedures and processes.
- Able and willing to take on additional duties as required.
- Assist the Associate Director when other team members are out of the office, monitoring inboxes and processing work.
- Keep database up to date and ensure that assigned engagements have accurate information and are fully completed.
- Timely management of inbox and ensure all client emails are saved to Waystone Tracker.
- Prepare AEOI reports for board meetings and arrange phone calls.
- Monitor DEF status in DocuSign and regularly update.
- Follow all processes and procedures related to DEF preparation within Waystone Tracker and DocuSign, including ensuring that documentation is available to the Associate Director for review.
- Share key learning and knowledge at team meetings.
- Assist colleagues when capacity permits and notify the Team Lead of availability.
- Ensure a seamless operational transition for all new business from implementation of agreements through to full active status.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of US FATCA, CRS and due diligence in accordance with relevant intergovernmental agreements and regulations; proactively begin onboarding FATCA / CRS clients to completion.
- Conduct first-level review of documentation for Director signature and request changes or clarifications as required.
- Maintain good working relationships with external clients and internal relationship managers and other business units within Waystone.
Education
An internationally recognized professional third-level qualification.Experience
Transfer Agency experience or a legal background is desirable.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Working knowledge of FATCA and CRS compliance requirements.Familiarity with AEOI reporting standards and reporting requirements.Familiarity with applicable AEOI jurisdictional portals and IRS reporting portals.Outstanding time management and organizational skills; strong oral and written communication and attention to detail.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide proactive support to team members.Positive, proactive attitude with ownership of responsibilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.Team player – flexible and adaptable; able to think strategically.#J-18808-Ljbffr
