What you'll be doing?
Business case development : Work closely with management to create compelling business cases and investment proposals for new projects and opportunities.
Financial modeling : Develop comprehensive financial models to assess project feasibility, potential returns, and support management in securing financing from bankers.
Group FP&A : Perform monthly financial planning and analysis, providing valuable insights to enhance overall financial performance.
Financial reporting : Oversee consolidated financial accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with MFRS and listing requirements.
Strategic planning : Examine business plans, review planning assumptions, and offer recommendations to address emerging issues.
Financial analysis : Provide clear, concise recommendations to management and business units based on thorough financial evaluations.
Investment analysis : Analyze new business opportunities using valuation models to maximize returns while minimizing risks.
Efficiency improvement : Evaluate cross-company activities to identify and implement best practices for improved efficiency.
Cash management : Analyze daily cash positions and suggest optimal investment strategies for available funds.
Financial communication : Analyze, interpret, and present financial information to support business operations and strategic planning.
Ad-hoc support : Perform various analyses, research, and reports as needed by senior management.
Who are they looking for?
Educational background : Candidates with a Degree in Accountancy, Professional Degree, or equivalent qualification.
Professional experience : Individuals with around 7 years of experience in related fields are encouraged to apply.
Regulatory knowledge : Familiarity with listing requirements and Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) is highly valued.
Accounting expertise : Knowledge of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards is essential for success in this role.
Analytical skills : Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
Technical proficiency : Excellent Excel skills and hands-on experience with accounting software are crucial.
Time management : Ability to establish priorities, meet tight deadlines, and effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Personal qualities : Good communication skills, proactive attitude, independence, and attention to detail are key attributes for this position.
Language proficiency : Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
