Job Description
- Review and finalise the monthly management accounts (including subsidiaries / SPVs), ensuring accuracy and detailed notes for each account.
- Ensure completeness and correctness of journal vouchers processed by the Senior Associate / Associate.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), and regulatory requirements.
- Review consolidated financial statements and quarterly reports of the Company and its subsidiaries.
- Timely reporting and appropriate recording of transactions in line with internal policies and procedures, MFRS and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Review and authorise the payment of operating and capital expenditures, ensuring all expenditures are within approved budgets and adhere to company policies.
- Oversee capital expenditures, ensuring the amount is captured correctly in the assets register and attached with proper documentation.
- Monitor cash flow to ensure the Company's liquidity and ability to meet its financial obligations.
- Manage the processing of capital calls, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of funds for investments in line with approval.
- Track investment disbursements to ensure alignment with the Company's specified allocation.
- Coordinate with the investment teams to maintain a smooth flow of capital for investment purposes.
- Manage the Company's treasury functions, including fund placement, withdrawals, and banking transactions.
- Review working papers prepared by the Associate on any fund maturity, fund placement / withdrawals before approval submission.
- Supervise the team in preparing and analysing cash flow reports and ensure optimal liquidity management.
- Review the posting of interest income and other treasury‑related transactions.
- Oversee and administer online banking activities and function as the system administrator, ensuring proper authorisation, security, and compliance with internal policies.
- Review the transactions uploaded by Maker before approval by the Authorizer.
- Coordinate and liaise with auditor & tax agent to ensure complete and proper audit & tax submission.
- Manage tax filings and compliance processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions in cooperation with external tax agents.
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets, coordinating with departmental heads to ensure accuracy and completeness before submission for BOD approval.
- Assist in preparing financial forecasts, including long‑term financial models to support business planning and decision‑making.
- Analyse historical data, trends, and assumptions to support scenario planning and forecast accuracy.
- Collaborate and work closely with the investment team to collect data and finalise the valuation of investee and fund companies.
- Ensure the fair value of the investment is recorded correctly and accurately reported.
- Prepare Term Loan Reconciliation and Cash Flow for each RMK Fund for monitoring purposes.
- Assist in the migration of the accounting system, ensuring a smooth transition and proper data integration.
- Assist in developing new finance SOP, including improving current process flows and introducing new controls.
- Prepare and review quarterly reporting for MoF and yearly / half‑yearly reporting for SC.
- Ensure the timely submission of the report on Foreign Currency Remittance and Distribution from Foreign Investment to the Bank Negara Malaysia.
- Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory authorities such as Bank Negara Malaysia.
Job Requirements
