Medical Transcriptionist, Imaging

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare duty roster and ensure sufficient transcriptionist coverage.
• Transcribe and edit radiologist reports, ensuring timely dispatch.
• Coordinate urgent and non-urgent reports appropriately.
• Manage report approval in PACS and follow up with radiologists.
• Handle printing, sorting, and release of patient reports / films / CDs.
• Check and update patient charge entries in HIS.
• Assist at Imaging reception, including patient registration, appointments, and workflow coordination.
• Support patient flow by liaising with wards, clinics, and radiographers.
• Ensure adequate stationery supply and maintain patient consent forms.
• Participate in departmental quality initiatives and perform other assigned duties.
